This is quite the incredible bargain, and upgrade from my 2003 Rockhopper. My son has a 2019 Trek Roscoe 8 for a better comparison. The build was easy as far as the frame went, the internal routing was easy. Fit and finish is great, very visually impressive frame with tons of tire clearance. Although I do have a heavy wheel set on it, the bike is still light and incredibly responsive, especially on the uphills. While not the slackest head angle, certainly slack enough for the blacks and double blacks in the Northeast with the plus sized tires. It is incredibly easy to move the rear end around, yet is stable on rough downhills. Compared to the Roscoe, which is a similar size, the Bobtrax feels longer and more secure on steep downhills, and more responsive and faster on ups and flats. The rear end can get a bit too rowdy on some downhills, and I'd suggest a nobby tire back there if you ride on loose terrain. I'm very happy I was able to grab one of these before they sold out.

Built mine up to have a more modern XC hardtail (headangle 69 vs 71). Comparing it to my 2006 XC bike, they are about equal for speed, but this one does feel more stable and I'm more confident on it if my XC trails have a little tech. The steering is not noticeably slower than the older bike in twisty singletrack. The bigger tire clearance is also nice. Mine is built up to about 25.5lbs as a 29x2.4 parts bin build.

Super light frame and the color attracts attention. No issues so far.

Loving this bike! Upgraded to carbon from aluminum and it was a great move. Fast and responsive. Awesome ride!

Very clean even though it was a demo. Gets the traction to the ground. Zippy in corners. Price was great. Rock solid frame!! Although the internal routing is well done, I still don’t like doing it, never did.

Very happy how my build turned out. Ride it on the Alleggripis trails at Raystown Lake and the bike was very responsive!

I purchased the Bobtrax frame and it arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. I measured the frame weight at 1.28kg excluding rear thru axle. The frame came with axle and internal cable routing tubing pre-installed with plug covers, including for a dropper post. I was only disappointed that a seatpost collar was not included and the seat tube did not have water bottle mounts. I added a 480mm rigid carbon fork, Race Face 1x crankset, Shimano Deore 12-speed groupset, 27.5 wheels with 2.2-inch tires and the other components pictured. My assembly came together with no issues. The 16-inch size frame geometry dimensions were as-advertised if allowing for the size of my fork and wheels. Note the 58cm measured effective top tube dimension is more typical of a "medium" size, but is a perfect fit for me. For my build the reach measured 415mm, stack 590mm, BB drop 65mm and wheelbase 1100mm. The "boost" frame can accommodate 29er wheels and has ample 90mm measured clearances for wider tires. I would recommend a 530mm +/- suspension fork if using a 29er wheelset. Overall the Bobtrax carbon frame build, fit and finish is excellent and a bargain for the price.

I ended up with 2 spare sets of 27.5+ 2.8 wheels in the garage after upgrading my full suspension bikes earlier in the season, so I decided to try my hand at building up a bike from one of those wheelsets. Really pleased with the build on the Bobtrax frame. The frame was advertised as 'demo' but it arrived without any noticeable blemish on it whatsoever. After about 3 months of ordering components (built during the Covid-19 lockdowns) and watching YouTube videos I got to work and the build went really really well. This thing is a blast to ride and it's now my go-to bike for my nightly summer rides. So much fun to rip this thing around on the 27.5+ tires. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a bike to ride more gravel roads with the capability to ride Singletracks. With the way the world is now, spending >$1000 would be tough to justify. Then, I ran into the Framed Bobtrax Carbon frame sets. For the price and the features I couldn’t lose. I took a gamble and all my parts from the older full suspension bike fit this new frame! Now I have a light hardtail that can handle Singletracks as easily as it handles the gravel. Fit and finish is on point even though it was a floor/show model frame. Specs and geometry are what I wanted and the completed bike rides smooth with the ability to be aggressive. Did I mention the price was amazing? Well it is! Thank you, I am now a fan of Framed!

This is my first new bike in 15 years. I'm using it with 27.5+ 2.8 tires and 110mm SID forks. The modern geometry is super comfortable. The frame is just stiff enough to transfer power on climbs but supple enough to absorb bumps and chatter. The larger wheels make it slightly less maneuverable on the technical trails. Overall I love it.
